Shout Out - Services for children and by children

The Shout Out! services are a new initiative to encourage children who do not regularly attend services to see church in a more positive and exciting way. A recent Benefice 'Shout Out' service for children and by children was another big hit with over 50 children taking part - either by acting, reading or playing a musical instrument. Held at All Saints, Hinton Ampner, the service of children-focused praise and worship was led by Riann de Villers, Youth Worker at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Four Marks with the support of Bruce Newson and Alex and Jonathan Hardie in Bramdean.

The main talking point was a spectacular stunt used to illustrate the teaching of trust. Caroline McGrath fell from a five foot window sill into the arms of six ‘trustworthy’ adults›

Youth Quake - Winchester Cathedral.

After-school Clubs & Sunday Schools - for younger children

JIGSAW - This after-school club for KS1 and KS2, run by the churches of the Upper Itchen Benefice, meets on Wednesdays 3.45-4.45pm in Cheriton Primary School (term-time only). Games, bible stories, art & craft, refreshments, songs and lots of fun. From 24th February 2010. All local children welcome. For more details please contact Revd Alexandra (771226) or Alex Hardie (771354).Cheriton Sunday School – meets in Cheriton village hall at 9.30am (during the Parish Communion service) on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of every month.

Tichborne Sunday Club – meets at 11am at Tichborne church, 2nd Sunday of each month.
