Upper Itchen Benefice Rape Fields - by Pete ThompsonWe warmly welcome visitors and newcomers. The Upper Itchen Benefice, consisting of the six Anglican parishes of Beauworth, Bramdean, Cheriton, Hinton Ampner, Kilmeston, and Tichborne, forms part of the Deanery of Alresford and the Diocese of Winchester. All churches are open every day (see Parishes for details). You will find a range of Services taking place each Sunday. In the summer months the Church in the Woods on Bramdean Common also holds services.

The Benefice Today

The Rector of the Upper Itchen Benefice is the Revd Dr Alexandra Clarke. The Benefice also has two Readers, Bruce Newson and Debbie Thompson, and we are also lucky to have a part time Benefice Secretary, Margaret Pickthorne (herself a Reader in a different Benefice). Each parish has two Churchwardens who can also be contacted for assistance.

Bramdean Church by Tony EnnewThe church and village communities throughout the Benefice are vibrant centres of life and care. You can find plenty to get involved with if you wish: with opportunities to make invaluable contributions to help the local, national and global community, and a wealth of social groups, clubs, events and activities taking place for all ages. Please see the Community section for further details of how you can get involved. See Teaching & Nurture section for opportunities of exploring, renewing or deepening your faith. See What's On Upper Itchen pages for details of church, village and club events taking place this year.

If you are looking for further information on Baptism, Marriage, or Funerals please see pages within Ministry & Worship section here.
