The Winchester City Centre
Chaplaincy

Who we serve:

Winchester City Centre has a large and varied working community engaged in retail, public service and many other occupations. The City Centre Chaplaincy serves this community.

Who are we?

Lead Chaplain Howard RoweThe Chaplaincy is provided by the Lead Chaplain, Howard Rowe, and by a team of volunteer Associate Chaplains Diana Kirkby, Delcie Dalby and Keith Black. The Chaplaincy is sponsored by a collaboration of Winchester churches. We serve those of any faith or no faith.

What do chaplains do?

We visit people who work in Winchester City Centre at the workplace, to build relationships of trust and mutual respect with members of staff. We listen to people, take their needs seriously, and value them, whoever they are.

We are there to listen when people need to talk. People can talk about personal things, family or work-related issues. We are not employees of any business in the city, so we are able to provide a free, independent, and confidential listening ear. We complement other welfare and counselling agencies.

If you work in Winchester City and would like to contact a chaplain, please email us at: chaplain@winccc.org.uk
